The area outside Cheryl’s home was covered in pea gravel and uneven ground. It served as a daily-use path between multiple entry points — but wasn’t built for long-term durability or clean drainage.
What started as a makeshift gravel walkway quickly turned into a safety and maintenance issue.

Solution: Custom Concrete Walkway Installation
To address both functionality and curb appeal, we designed and poured a T-shaped concrete walkway. This walkway connected the front entrance, garage, and carport, creating a seamless and durable outdoor flow.
Here’s how the project unfolded:
Step 1: Gravel & Soil Removal
We removed pea gravel and prepared the base by leveling and compacting soil for a stable sub-base.
Step 2: Minor Drainage Tie-In
To help manage surface water, we installed a hydraway drainage system to connect to an existing line— supporting long-term performance without altering the walkway design.
Step 3: Forming the Walkway Layout
Concrete forms were set to shape a 4-foot wide walkway with two connecting arms, ensuring clean, practical lines.
Step 4: Concrete Pour & Finishing
Concrete was poured, finished with a brushed texture for traction, and control joints were added to prevent cracking.
