Skyline Drive, nestled in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains, is a historic treasure in Shenandoah National Park. Its stone walls, crafted by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in the 1930s, have weathered decades of exposure.

LUX Foundation Solutions was honored to be selected to restore 3,500 feet of these barriers, preserve their legacy, ensure structural integrity, and maintain this iconic roadway for future generations.

Peter’s home in Burke, VA, experienced significant water management issues around the basement window well. Rainwater pooled near the foundation during storms, increasing the risk of water seepage, mold growth, and structural damage.

To address these concerns, LUX Foundation Solutions implemented a customized egress window well drainage solution: a 34-foot French drain system and a raised new egress system to ensure effective, long-term water diversion.

Linda Fowler’s home in Maurertown, VA, had high crawl space humidity levels, which risked mold growth, wood rot, musty odor, condensation, and structural integrity despite having a sump pump.

LUX Foundation Solutions implemented a comprehensive crawl space repair and encapsulation plan, including a drainage system, high-quality drainage matting, air-tight door replacements, vapor barrier installation, and new insulation. These measures eliminated crawl space moisture, improved indoor air quality, and ensured long-term protection against dampness and damage.

Jennings’ home in Stephens City, VA, had a leaky basement. Water was seeping through the foundation walls and entering through the stairway leading down to the basement. During heavy rain, water rushed down the stairs, bypassing a malfunctioning drain near the basement door.

LUX Foundation Solutions installed a complete basement waterproofing system, which prevents further water intrusion and protects the basement from mold, rot, and damage to personal belongings.
